After more than 40 years working in the insurance field, Micheline Morency, Vice President Operations & Underwriting, will retire in mid-April.

She began her career at Groupe Commerce, followed by Guardian, ING (Intact). In 2002, she then made the jump to a brokerage firm, Inovesco (La Turquoise).

In 2006, she joined GroupAssur to put her expertise and love for underwriting to the benefit of this wholesaler. She describes herself as a generalist and not an expert, but over the years she has worked in several different business lines where she has made the company excel.

In 2013, she was part of the Management buyout of GroupAssur with two of her colleagues. Over the past 10 years, she has put her many skills, expertise, curiosity, analytical sense and leadership to the benefit of the company.

Over the years, she has left her mark on the brokerage firms she has served and on her colleagues. Micheline has been a role model for several young underwriters, to whom she has passed on her knowledge and helped build their analytical minds.
