Groupassur, is proud to announce the acquisition of Eagle Underwriting  (“Eagle”), an independent administering agent specializing in the insurance of “Things That Move™”, providing superior products, underwriting expertise and first-class claims service to brokers and their clients in Canada and the United States.

Founded in 1996,  Eagle Underwriting  is an expert in the transportation, trade and freight sectors. Through this acquisition, Groupassur will enhance its product line, offering and acquire the expertise needed to insure clients in the highly complex marine, cargo and soon more sectors.

The acquisition is effective October 1, 2021.  Eagle Underwriting  will continue to operate under its current structure and name. This acquisition will also support Groupassur

's international growth objectives , as  Eagle  already underwrites freight insurance policies in the United States.
